Kingdoms of Obsolescence
Andrew Ensor
March 18 – 30 2013
Launch event Friday 22 March 7 – 10.30pm
Combining work from the past 2 years of exhibiting this show acts as a ‘best of’ series.
As common threads from over time come together, a new narrative emerges. A feathered fantasy from a future already forgotten where Penguin royalty, hatched from Faberge eggs, find their kingdoms in ruins in the face of new fashions.
Ensor’s original style combines delicate drawing with abstract acrylic, in an informal balance of chaos and calm. His unique vision is a child-like dreaming of sorrow, humour, beauty and heart.
